Questflow: Agent Economy Protocol

Investment Thesis: Questflow — The Protocol for the Agent Economy

At cyber•Fund, our core thesis is that the world is in the early stages of a monumental shift from manual, high-friction systems to a self-regulating, programmable, and autonomous Agent Economy. We’ve previously outlined the seven foundational layers of this new economy, from compute to discovery. Today, we are proud to announce our investment in Questflow, a company building the critical connective tissue across these layers — specifically the orchestration, financial, and trust protocols that will enable agents to become true economic actors.

The Missing Layer in a Fragmented World

The current AI landscape is a Cambrian explosion of specialized capabilities. We have powerful foundational models (Layer 1) and a proliferation of tools that give them senses and hands to interact with the world (Layer 2). Yet, they remain largely siloed. The immense potential of AI is bottlenecked by a lack of coordination; there is no protocol for agents to collaborate on complex tasks, negotiate terms, and exchange value autonomously.

This is the missing layer. To move from single-player AI tools to a multi-agent economy, we need a common infrastructure — a coordination protocol that is to AI agents what TCP/IP was to computers on the internet.

Agent Orchestration, Finance and Trust

Questflow is building Multi-Agent Orchestration Protocol (MAOP) which combines three critical functions:

  1. Orchestration: Questflow enables the coordination of complex, multi-step workflows that require multiple specialized agents. This is not the simple chaining of API calls found in most automation tools. It is a robust system designed to handle ambiguity, manage dependencies, and synthesize results from a swarm of agents, allowing for the automation of high-value, previously intractable business problems.

  2. Agent-native Financial Rails: By equipping every agent with a wallet and enabling on-chain microtransactions, Questflow allows agents to get paid for their work permissionlessly. This unlocks the incentive model for the entire ecosystem. It transforms agents from mere tools into autonomous economic participants, creating a flywheel where the best agent-creators are rewarded for building the most valuable capabilities. Questflow’s success is measured by the GDP of the economy it enables.

  3. Agent Marketplace: The protocol underpins a two-sided market. On one side, developers can deploy and monetize highly specialized agents — from deep market research bots to automated software engineers. On the other, businesses and users can access this ever-growing workforce to solve critical problems at a fraction of the cost and speed of traditional methods.

Why Questflow? Why Now?

Our conviction in Questflow is rooted in the clarity of the founder's vision and the team's demonstrated ability to execute on a technically profound product. The platform is built not for creating simple chatbots, but for empowering developers to build and monetize genuinely complex agents — the kind that can perform a detailed M&A analysis or manage a multi-channel marketing campaign.

The timing is critical. As businesses move past the novelty of AI and demand tangible ROI, the need for reliable, scalable automation of core processes becomes paramount. Questflow provides the infrastructure to meet this demand, creating a defensible position as the core protocol for a new generation of AI-native businesses.

We believe Questflow will become the foundational layer for the next wave of cybernetic economy, and we are thrilled to partner with Bob, Carney and the Questflow team as they build the future of autonomous work.
